The new Audi A5’s revised exterior design, offers a front end which exudes an even more powerful expression thanks to a revised Singleframe with the honeycomb grille which is now flatter and somewhat wider than the predecessor. The rear of the all-new Audi A5 has also been reworked, now boasting enhanced LED- taillights with dynamic turn signals and light sequencing, giving the car a more obvious appearance from the back. Although the interior of the all-new Audi A5 expresses minimal aesthetic changes, it is now however, brimming with all the latest connectivity features including a revised MMI touch system, 10.1-inch touch display plus many more new functions which make navigation intelligent and intuitive. The 2020 Audi A5 also offers an optional 12.3-inch virtual cockpit and a heads-up display, adding to the premium feel of this luxurious car.
New for the Audi A5 2020 model is the availability of a new metallic District Green paint joining 11 other colour variations. Standard, Advanced, and S Line exterior optional lines are going to be available, with each lending the A5 Sportback, Coupé and Cabriolet models a distinguishing new appearance. Audi points out that not only the hotter S versions have their own visual identities, but the A5 Cabriolet has also been changed to separate the droptop from the other two body styles.
At market launch, each 2020 Audi A5 model will be equipped with a mild hybrid system (MHEV), with power outputs from at least 161bhp. All new Audi A5 models will come equipped with an automatic transmission, either a seven-speed S tronic or an eight-speed tiptronic. Quattro drive is also available as an option for the mid-range engine variants and comes standard with the three most powerful ones.
The cheapest A5 will carry a starting price of €42,900 in Europe for the A5 Coupe 40 TFSI. UK market launch and pricing will be announced in due course.
