2020 Audi RS7

New RS7 Release Date

As anticipated Audi has revealed the all-new RS7 at this week’s Frankfurt Motor Show. This 2020 Audi RS7 model strategically merges an all new grand tourer design concept and the reputable high-performance capabilities of the predecessor together with a refined interior which makes it suitable for everyday use. Sharing the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with its sister RS6 Avant gives the all new RS7 the ability to sprint effortlessly to a spectacular 189mph.

Fresh New Look

Comparable to the previous RS 7, the 2020 model borrows the aesthetics of the Audi A7 Sportback and adds an extra dash of luxury and racing car appeal. The 2020 Audi RS7 Sportback sits low to the ground and boasts flared wheel arches both of which emphasise the relentlessly sporty nature of this high-performance car. Adding to the unique visual appeal, the new RS7 Sportback shares the coupé-like lines of the base model’s body, but only in four areas: the hood, the roof, the front doors and the tailgate. Elsewhere you will notice a flat Singleframe, a radiator protective grille with a signature RS-specific three-dimensional honeycomb structure and large front air inlets and vertical fins in gloss black add to the aggressive styling.

Audi RS7 Performance

Under the 2020 RS7’s robust skin lies a spectacular 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8, which packs 592bhp and maximum torque stands at 800Nm between 2,100 to 4,500rpm, with power fed through an eight-speed tiptronic gearbox and Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system. This engine produces a full-bodied and sporty V8 roar and has the skills to accelerate from 0-62mph in a jaw-dropping 3.6 seconds.

What’s more the new RS7 which was revealed this week showcased improved efficiency owing to a new mild-hybrid system. In simply terms, a 48-volt electrical system is mated to a belt alternator starter and a lithium-ion battery and, depending on which driving mode is selected, the car will either coast or recover energy. With this innovative MHEV-technology this new model which is anticipatd to launch in 2020 has the capacity to reduce fuel consumption by as much as 0.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
