Your Nissan headlights are subjected to a great deal of road debris and weather conditions. As such, they require cleaning from time to time. One way to tell that its time is if they’re not as bright as they once were. You have some options available to clean them yourself.
One very simple method that works well on plastic lenses is using toothpaste. Simply add some to a warm damp cloth and scrub the plastic. If they are particularly dirty, you may need to repeat the process. Once you’ve finished, use a clean damp cloth to rinse them. While this technique has better results on plastic than glass, there’s no reason why you can’t use it on both.
Another option for glass lenses is to use several different sandpaper sheets of varying grit size. Begin with the coarsest and very gently rub the lenses to remove any blemishes or scratches. This is repeated with each grit size to the finest. When you’ve removed all of the imperfections, polish with glass cleaner.
This way keeping your Nissan clean and your driving safe you will have a happier journey wherever your headed. For more information on servicing click here.
