Nissan ProPilot Assist helps your in many way when driving can make you feel a bit fatigued. The Nissan ProPilot Asist with such things like, braking, acceleration, steering and staying in your lane. The basis of this Nissan technology was cruise control, which the Nissan ProPilot Assist also does. It uses a forward-facing camera, radar sensors and an electronic control module to give you that helping hand on the road.
Once activating the Nissan ProPilot Assist button on the steering wheel you will immediately engage with the most developed driver-assist system on the market. Nissan’s ProPilot has been designed with you in mind, that means it’s not complicated to use. An example of this is when you engage lane assist on those long commutes, the system chimes and the information centre on the driver console goes green. From then, you will be able to stay within your lane without continually steering.
There is a steering-assist feature with the Nissan ProPilot which uses sensors to reduce the need for those tiny adjustments. However, this does still mean you need both hands on the wheel. If you remove your hands, there will be a warning beep. If you do not respond and place your hands back on, the system taps the brake until slowly coming to a complete stop. The Nissan Propilot Assist then sets the emergency flashing. This is very useful for long night time drives on motorways which can be extremely fatiguing.
Nissan ProPilot Assist can also help handle braking and acceleration duties, by sensing other cars and responding accordingly – ahead of your own reflexes. Again, it’s only an assist and does not completely drive for you. Nissan’s exceptional technology is meant to help you out on the road, but it’s by no means a self-driving car. Still, Nissan’s ProPilot Assist can dramatically improve the ordinary driving experience and make it a lot less exhausting.
