The new Volkswagen ID Buzz was initially shown to the world as a concept before being confirmed for production in 2022 as an all electric family car with multiple possibilities. It was a welcome addition to the growing number of all electric vehicles being offered by Volkswagen in the innovative ID family. It's success is already evident as it won What Car? Car of the Year 2023, Electric Car of the Year at the Top Gear Electric Awards, and Best Designed Car of the Year at the Motor Awards 2022 - to name a few.

Volkswagen ID Buzz Exterior

The VW ID Buzz combines compact dimensions and practicality of an MPV with the comfort and refinement of a premium SUV with the low running costs of electric cars. Visually it is an homage to the first campervan but at the same time is a completely unique an expressive vehicle.

The VW ID Buzz is optionally available in four two-tone paint finishes alongside adjustable ten colour ambient lighting. Whether you choose the ID. Buzz Life trim or the ID. Buzz Style trim you will have bi-colour alloy wheels with Airstop front and rear wheels. Alternatively it is also available as one of the Volkswagen commercial vehicles; the ID Buzz Cargo.

Volkswagen ID Buzz Interior

The interior of the VW ID Buzz is full of innovative technology from adaptive cruise control and LED luggage compartment lighting to heated front seats and a heated, leatherette multifunction wrapped steering wheel.

The ID Buzz will keep you connected and digital features include a digital cockpit, wireless charging for your mobile device, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and Discover Pro navigation and infotainment system.

For access there are sliding doors on both the left and right hand side of the vehicle and the rear seats still offer 60:40 split for you to set the VW ID Buzz up in the configuration that suits you best.

Volkswagen ID Buzz Performance

The ID Buzz uses 77 kWh of net battery power with a maximum power output of 150 kW, equivalent to 204PS. As with any electric vehicle, the Volkswagen ID Buzz will be quick off the line, with its electric motor providing instant power when you want it, without any turbo lag that you see from a petrol or diesel engine. It will ensure that the commercial version can also carry a decent payload without sapping all the available energy.

Volkswagen estimates that the ID Buzz can drive up to 258 miles without the need for a charging station, but when you do ned to stop you can charge from 5% to 80% capacity in just 30 minutes.
