Volkswagen ID.5 GTX

Available in Aberdeen and Kirkcaldy

Volkswagen's iconic GTI badging is synonymous with performance and the brand has tailored it to fit with its electric cars; welcome to the ID 4 GTX.

Volkswagen ID 4 GTX Exterior

The new VW ID 4 GTX is designed to showcase how breath-taking electric mobility can be. Take the 20 inch alloy wheels, exclusive to the GTX design, and pair it with the black roof of the standard car and add an exclusive anthracite finish to the roof frame and C-pillar decoration to create a whole new style of electric cars. The GTX badging on the front wing and the boot remind you that it's a whole different animal.

Matrix LED headlights make visibility even easier as they also include poor weather light and entry lighting and rear LED tail lights have a dynamic turn signal as standard. Keyless entry and starting means the key can stay in your pocket or your bag and the tinted rear window helps to keep your contents secure too.

Volkswagen ID 4 GTX Interior

The ID.4 GTX has a minimalist and uncluttered interior. There are surprisingly few buttons, and most of the features are accessed via the prominent 12-inch infotainment system and screen in the centre of the dashboard.

Passengers sit high up in comfortable and supportive GTX branded front and rear seats, and there are discreet flashes of colour to mark the ID.4's performance credentials. The design of the interior feels spacious and modern, with a sweeping dashboard and a head-up display above the steering wheel which gives the ID.4 a technical edge.

The ID.4's large SUV body lends itself to plenty of practicality. It is roomy inside with plenty of space for a family of five to sit in comfort, including a taller passenger in a rear seat too. Volkswagen's MEB platform places the batteries and electric motor beneath flat floor of the boot, meaning that the boot is still practical and usable. The rear seats have a 60:40 split and there is a ski hatch in the middle seat for longer items.

Volkswagen ID 4 GTX Performance

The new ID 4 GTX puts performance at the heart of its design. With 299PS electric power from the 77kWh GTX 4MOTION battery it is also the only ID 4 to offer all wheel drive, the other standard ID 4 models are rear wheel drive only. As an electric car you get instant torque which results in a maximum speed of 180 km/h and a 0-62mph time of just 6.3 seconds.

Expect a electric range of 306 miles combined but will charge to a minimum of 62 mile charge in just 6 minutes and up to 80% charge in 36 minutes. The VW ID 4 GTX is one of the most user friendly electric SUVs available for longer journeys because of this. Regenerative braking will help to preserve the range for the driving experience of longer trips whilst the electric powertrain will help you to save on running costs.

Driving assistance systems in place to support you as you drive include adaptive cruise control, driver alert system, lane assist, progressive steering, a rear view camera, and dynamic road sign display.
