The new Volkswagen ID 4 highlights how attractive electric mobility can be with a range of electric features that allows you to drive sustainably today. The first fully electric crossover SUV in Volkswagen's all- electric vehicle line up has already seen success as Which? named it as a Best Buy for Medium/Large SUVs in 2023.
Enjoy an urban SUV with the turning circle of a smaller compact car and smart features such as recessed door handles for improved aerodynamics. LED headlights and LED rear combination lights keep your visibility a top priority accompanied by heated windscreen washer jets and heat insulating glass in the side and rear windows.
With some neatly designed 18-inch wheels that are supplied as standard and a roof railing that is discreet yet practical, the ID.4 looks like an electric SUV that would be just as home in the urban environment as it would on the open road.
The car uses the group's MEB platform for electric vehicles, something it shares with the electric ID.3 hatchback, the Skoda Enyaq and the Audi Q4 e-tron.
The straightforward and easy to navigate interior space is familiar to anyone who knows the Volkswagen brand. The driver's seat and front passenger seat are both heated for your comfort whilst those and the rear seats come with Art Velours microfleece upholstery.
The dash panel itself is without buttons or switches, keeping it uncluttered and easy to use the functions from the central console panel, elevating the interior quality. You'll find the most important information above the leather wrapped, heated, multifunction steering wheel on a compact 5.3 inch display whilst the centre console houses a touchscreen for the infotainment system. Utilise wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto or use the built in navigation system to get you to your destination easily.
Cargo space is standard at 543 litres but upgrading to the Style trim adds in an adjustable boot floor to allow you to take advantage of the full storage potential of the VW ID 4.
The new Volkswagen ID.4 comes equipped with either a 52 kWh or a 77 kWh battery pack, trim level dependant. Experience up to 265PS across the selection and electric range of up to 328 miles, depending on the trim level and battery combination. These battery variants are named Pure, Pure Performance, Pro, Pro Performance, and Pro Performance 4MOTION.
All run on a single, rear electric motor with rear wheel drive aside from the Pro Performance 4MOTION which runs with dual electric motors and is an all wheel drive model, meaning that you don't have to compromise on the SUV driving experience because you opt to go for an all electric car.
Driver assistance equipment makes your journey easier and the VW ID 4 offers adaptive cruise control, dynamic road sign display, lane assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear view camera.
For a more powerful all wheel drive experience, consider the Volkswagen ID 4 GTX instead.
