A performance model, the TCR tops the GTI range with the first examples arriving in March. The car takes inspiration from its racing namesake, twice the winner of the international Touring Car Racing series.
The TCR produces 290PS channelled through a seven-speed DSG gearbox, achieving a 0-62 time of 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 164mph*. It’s not just the speed that has received an upgrade. The TCR has high-performance brakes as standard, improved cooling and two additional water radiators.
The car features exclusive looks, with 18-inch 'Quaranta' alloy wheels as standard. Its front and rear bumpers, matte black exterior mirrors and TCR sticker on the rear are sure to catch the eye on the outside, with an interior featuring TCR seats, a leather multi-function steering wheel with a red 12 o’clock mark and a gear gater finished in Alcantara. The TCR logo is also projected onto the street below when the door is opened.
The TCR is available in three and five-door models which both feature the same four cylinder 16-valve engine with a petrol particulate filter and a combined consumption of 42.2 mpg, while producing CO2 levels of 153g/km.
