The all electric Audi E-Tron offers phenomenal driving performance, muscular SUV exterior looks and a sophisticated, high quality interior making it a very attractive zero emissions proposition. Designed explicitly to ease into family life the Audi E-Tron is extremely practical and high tech with the added comfort of low monthly running costs, as well as no more trips to the fuel station.
At first glance the new Audi e-tron is robust, strong and determined, featuring sharp lines, bold surfaces and flared wheel arches that accentuate the strength and sturdiness of this incredible fully electric car. Inside is packed with cutting-edge technology which further differentiates the new e-tron from the standard Audi SUV range.
The interior of the new Audi e-tron impresses with an abundance of high-quality comfort and convenience features such as deluxe three zone automatic climate control and a 3-spoke leather multi-function steering wheel with gear-shift paddles. This Audi electric car also has an abundance of boot space, which can be extended by folding the rear seats down.
Rather than aim for a minimalist aesthetic as is popular with some other manufacturers, Audi has given the e-tron a sharp-edged, sculptural look inside that fits in nicely with the rest of its range. It's trimmed nicely and overall build quality is excellent.
The Audi e-tron features a 95kWh battery pack, which gives the e-tron an impressive range of 248 miles on the official WLTP test cycle. The model can be charged from 0-80% in around 8.5 hours from a 11kW home wallbox, with rapid charging at motorway service stations taking around 45 minutes, and the next generation of 150kW chargers due to bring that down to just 30 minutes.
Inside is packed with cutting-edge technology which further differentiates the new e-tron from the standard Audi SUV range. The sophisticated Audi Virtual Cockpit with Audi e-tron specific displays comes as standard, placing all information such as power meter, drive status and battery charge state directly in front of you on a dynamic digital display. The MMI navigation plus with MMI touch and Audi Virtual cockpit also includes a 10.1” full HD touchscreen colour display (top screen) and an 8.6” full HD touch screen (bottom screen) for the driver’s convenience.
Audi fits air suspension and adaptive dampers as standard in an effort to make the e-tron more comfortable than its rivals. And, in a first for a production car, buyers can improve the aerodynamics by opting to remove the e-tron’s door mirrors and replace them with cameras that feed into small screens inside.
