The new Nissan GT-R50 is a reimagination of the Nissan GT-R by Italdesign using the latest GT-R Nismo and a European-style sensibility combining Japanese performance and Italian craftmanship. Following its appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England, a customer version inspired by the prototype has been created at a starting price of €900,000. No more than 50 units will be produced and soled with each car being tailored for each customer.
Italdeign are a world leading company in the provision of development series in the automotive industry, they dedicate themselves to the development of new vehicles and industrial products. The developed, engineered and construct the car whilst the exterior and interior originate from Nissan design centres. Key design features include pronounced power bulge on the hood, stretched LED headlights, lowered roofline and prominent “samurai blade” cooling outlets behind the front wheels. The exterior is finished in a ‘Liquid Kinetic Gray” colour with distinctive “Energentic Sigma Gold” accents.
The driving performance is drawn from Nissan’s extensive GT3 racing experience, the NISMO organisation enhanced the hand-assembled 3.8-liter V6 VR38DETT Engine to produce an estimated 720PS and 780Nm of torque.
Bob Laishley, Global Sports Car Progam Direct at Nissan said “The reaction from Nissan fans around the world – and potential customers of the GT-R50 – has greatly exceeded our expectations, these 50 cars, which celebrate 50 years of the GT-R as well as 50 years of Italdesign, will be rolling tributes to Nissan’s engineering leadership and rich sports car heritage for a long time to come.”
Deliveries will begin 2019 and continue through to 2020. For more information on the Nissan GT-R50 contact Specialist Cars Nissan in Aberdeen - CONTACT US
